The Transformers have been around a long time. And with that.. there have been many revisions much like the Joes have gone through.

Who is your favorite Autobot or Decepticon? How does your Generation version that you've choosen stack up to the evolution?
How does the evolution stack up to the originals if you chose that?

For example... TF Movie verse Bumblebee vs. G1 Bumblebee and vise versa?

For me... I have a few different ones for different eras. None of them really repeat themselves over the film verse. but do cross other universes.

G1- Hound Autobot
G1- Grimlock Dinobot

Beast Wars- Silverbolt- Maximal

Movie Verse- Ironhide- Autobot.

Hound and Grimlock were not used in the movie series yet. However both have had figures in other verses over the years. For the most part
Both characters had remained in high strong likenesses of one another. Cept for the RiD version of Grimlock, which turned him into a construction vehicle.

g1 Silverbolt was the leader of the Airelbots.. while afraid of flying.. he did show he could be a leader.
Beast wars Silverbolt was a fuzor, meaning he was part wolf and part eagle. While baring no link to the previous silverbolt, he did however show a fear of harming others. Especially the fembots. His form alone was enough to make him a classic for me.

Ironhide in G1 was an old red van with attitude of a cowboy... with his 6 shooter. The Movie version took that idea and ran with a different direction. The movie version of Ironhide made him an ulta cool 4x4 badass. Who wouldn't want a black heavy duty truck with major weaponary? Count me in on that one!

There you have it!

Prowl.

Don't know why. Never had the figure as a kid, never saw the cartoons, never read the comic. But the first time I ever saw him, I really liked him.

Ironically after reading the comics, his personality is almost an exact carbon-copy of mine. Same ideas, temperment, pattern of thinking, which if anything makes me like him more.

My favourite version of him (as with most characters) came in the Alternators line (WTH did they cancle that???). We need more guys in that style.

Prime is always a fun one. Grimmy is just well... Grimmy. Bee is alright . Hound's awesome in my book.

Lets not forget Sunstreaker and Sideswipe!

They go fast.

Even up here!

There were 20 when they came in and I snagged one. Two days later...all gone.
